Die DMX4ALL GmbH ist ein Ingenieurbüro mit dem Produktschwerpunkt der Licht- und Steuerungstechnik basierend auf dem ARTNET,DMX512 und RDM Protokoll.
Digitale Stripes

The calculation uses data sheet values at full brightness and white light. Real values differ depending on series resistors, tolerances and ambient temperature. The results are a planning aid and do not replace a design by a qualified electrician.
- Universes are counted per output. One universe holds 512 channels, which is 170 pixels with RGB and 128 with RGBW; no pixel crosses a universe boundary.
- A DMX device gets one universe per output. Art-Net devices carry several universes over the network, as stored with the selected device.
- With addressable pixels, minus is also the reference for the data signal. The ground therefore runs along with the stripe and the data line. Star distribution from the power supply and closed rings make pixels flicker.
- A DMX512 universe is transmitted at a maximum of 44 frames per second. For digital stripes the refresh rate follows from the chip data rate and the length of the chain.
- The injection interval applies to full brightness in white, the worst case, and depends on the assumed conductor resistance of the stripe.
- The cable cross section applies to copper at 56 m/(ohm*mm²), calculated over both conductors at full load.
- The power supply is chosen from the power at full load plus headroom, rounded up to the next common size.
